At Sandy Bums, the safety of your little ones is our highest priority. All of our products are thoughtfully designed, independently tested (where applicable) to meet relevant safety standards, and crafted using high-quality, child-safe materials.

However, no baby or children's product can eliminate all risks. By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Adult supervision is required at all times while any Sandy Bums product is in use.
  • Products containing small parts, cords, clips, straps, buckles or accessories are not toys and should never be left with an unsupervised child. Small parts may present a choking hazard and cords or straps may present a strangulation or entanglement risk if used incorrectly.
  • Portable baby chairs must only be used in accordance with the supplied instructions. They are designed for use with suitable, stable adult dining chairs only and must be correctly installed before each use. The child must always be secured using the integrated safety harness and should never be left unattended while seated. Portable baby chairs are not intended for use on benches, stools, unstable chairs, elevated surfaces, or as a substitute for a high chair, cot, bassinet or supervised seating.
  • It is the responsibility of the parent or caregiver to regularly inspect all products before each use and immediately discontinue use if any signs of wear, damage, loose components or deterioration are found.
  • Products should only be used for their intended purpose and in accordance with all care and safety instructions provided.
  • Sandy Bums accepts no liability for any injury, accident, loss or damage resulting from misuse, improper installation, failure to follow safety instructions, modification of a product, normal wear and tear, or continued use of a damaged product.

Care Instructions

To keep your items in great condition, we recommend the following:

  • Silicone items: Wash in warm soapy water before first use and as needed. You may also rinse with boiling water. All silicone used is food-grade, BPA-free and non-toxic.
  • Wood & Muslin products: Detachable muslin fabric may be machine washed separately. Spot clean wooden and silicone components with a damp cloth only. Do not soak, submerge, sterilise or microwave wooden parts.
  • Portable Baby Chairs: Wipe clean using a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Ensure all components are completely dry before storage. Regularly inspect the harness, buckles, straps and frame for signs of wear or damage.
  • Allow all products to air dry thoroughly after cleaning.
  • Inspect products regularly and discontinue use immediately if any damage or excessive wear is detected. For hygiene and safety, we recommend replacing frequently used items such as dummy clips and teethers after approximately six months of regular use.

Safety Information

Please follow these important safety guidelines:

  • Never leave a child unattended while using any Sandy Bums product.
  • Dummy clips are not toys or teethers and should always be removed during sleep, naps or while travelling in a car seat.
  • Teething toys should only be used under adult supervision and inspected before every use.
  • Headbands, rattles and accessories should always be removed when your baby is not under direct supervision.
  • Portable baby chairs must always be fitted securely to a suitable chair before seating your child. Always use the safety harness provided and never exceed the recommended weight or age limits.
  • Products should never be altered, repaired or modified in any way.
  • Always store products out of reach of children when not in use.
